Faculty profile

 

 

Dr. Henry Pérez, a native of Cuba, graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Boston with a double major in English and Spanish. He received his doctorate in Spanish & Latin American Literature from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Dr. Pérez is the former chair of the Department of Modern Languages at Manchester College in Indiana. He has taught at Henderson State University since 1991.

 

 

 

 

Dr. Pedro Lopes was born in Mozambique of Portuguese parents. After graduating in Communication Sciences from the University Fernando Pessoa, Porto, Portugal, he decided to pursue a PhD in Romanic Languages and Literatures at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. He has since taught Portuguese, Spanish, and English as a Second Language both in the United States and in Europe. He has been with Henderson since 2006.

 

 

 

 

Mr. Lee Mitchell is originally from Huntsville, Alabama. He has a B.A. in Spanish from Vanderbilt University. He spent one semester at the University of Madrid in Madrid, Spain and one semester at Vanderbilt-in-France in Aix-en-Provence, France. He has an M.A. from Indiana University-Bloomington with a major in Spanish and a minor in French.He has taught Spanish and French at Henderson since 1994.
