William Gordon Henshaw received his Master’s of Fine Arts in Drama from San Diego State University in 1996. William has served as the Resident Costume Designer and Professor of Theatre at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas since 2000.William has worked as costume shop manager for Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas and Grossmont Junior College in El Cajon, California. William has designed costumes for Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival; Mixed Players of Ashland, Oregon; Houston Children’s Theatre Festival; Miracle Theatre Productions of San Diego; San Diego University Opera productions; San Jose’s City Lights and Make-up for Fort Worth’s Circle Theatre and Houston Children’s Theatre Festival. William has also been a costume technician at Utah Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City,UT; The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego,CA; Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The Santa Fe Opera, Santa Fe, NM; and Glimmerglass Opera in Cooperstown, NY. He is a member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology Costume Commission. The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival has recognized his designs regionally. He has also contributed to the book Developing and Maintaining a Design and Technology Portfolio by Raphael Jaen. |
