Sandy Rankin, born in Morrilton, Arkansas, earned her MFA in Creative Writing / Poetry from the University of Arkansas in August 1999.  She has published critical essays and poetry in several journals, including Crazyhorse, Papers of the Philological Association, and a previous edition of the Arkansas Literary Forum.  After teaching temporarily for the Honors College at the University of Central Arkansas, and at the Arkansas School for Math and Sciences, Ms. Rankin is working on a Ph.D. in English with an emphasis on Critical Theory at the University of Arkansas.  Each summer, she teaches creative writing at Arkansas Governor’s School in Conway.
